چکیده مقاله |
Gandom Beryan, the hottest part of the Lut plain is a plateau covered with dark lava with an area of approximately 480 square kilometers (190 square miles), which is located 80 kilometers north of Shahdad city in the Lut desert in Kerman province. This area is located east of the Shore river and Because of the extreme heat of the air, there is no life in it. Gandom Beryan is covered with volcanic black basalt stones and lava, and this black volcanic cover causes the heat to rise sharply in this region. This region is also considered the lowest internal region of Iran and this is another reason for its extreme heat. According to experts' research, there is no living creature living in an area of 200 km long and 150 km wide. The outflow of basalt flows along the fault system has been with a north-south trend. In the region of Gandom Beryan, the tension resulting from the activity of the Nayband fault has caused the fracture and weakness of the crust and then the rise of magma along the fracture because magmatism is limited to the tension zone. Comparison of the map of Nayband fault lineation index and the map related to the location of volcanic craters is a confirmation of the role of the fault in the formation of the basaltic magma of Gandom Beryan. The presence of large and shaped olivines next to clinopyroxene crystals and the absence of magmatic quartz can all indicate the upward and rapid movement of magma through the fracture system and deep faults. the color theme of the basalt stone is dark and fine-grained. The main color of these stones is gray to black, but due to oxidation with carbon dioxide, it can turn brown or rust. |
